As a major in Physical Education (Teaching) you will be part of UIU’s Teacher Education program, which is committed to preparing teachers who are well informed, reflective, professional, competent, and sensitive to the diverse needs of their pupils. You will be provided with current, practical, applied knowledge and a variety of classroom experiences. The Teacher Education program is dedicated to the development of teachers with personal education philosophies and systems of beliefs that encourage a lifelong commitment to inquiry and excellence.
With a major in Physical Education and Health with Coaching, you will be prepared for a career as a coach and/or teacher in kindergarten through twelfth grades. The program includes clinical work practicum courses to give you hands-on experience.
