The Health Care Administration program will help you seek employment as an administrator in a variety of hospital, nursing home, allied health and clinical offices, with a primary emphasis in long-term care.
Today’s health care administrators are called upon to improve efficiency in health care facilities as well as enhance the quality of health care being provided. Increasingly, health care administrators must be able to optimize efficiency across interrelated services. You will complete coursework that not only prepares you to handle financial, human resources, and legal concerns but that examines the critical issues of health care ethics, leadership, and community and public health concerns as well.
Many of the jobs with the greatest projected growth in the next few years are in health-related fields. Administrators will facilitate their work in hospitals, public and volunteer health agencies, long-term care facilities and medical care offices. The Health Care Administration major prepares you to take those leadership roles.
