Our military-based academic advisors will help you develop a program of coursework that will advance you toward your goals and be reflective of your busy, and often-changing, lifestyle.
Distance Education Opportunites:
Our Independent Study Program is a self-paced paper/email based program through which you set your own pace and schedule for coursework. The Online Program delivers course materials via the Internet, bringing the classroom to your fingertips. Six, eight week terms each year provide convenient options to get started when you are ready.
Our growing number of Military Learning Centers offer traditional classroom settings without leaving the installation.
If your current duty takes you into the civilian community, Upper Iowa University also has centers throughout Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Louisiana.
In recognition of service and dedication to our country, Upper Iowa University - Extended University extends a 10% tuition discount to all military personnel (active, guard, reserve, and retired) and their family members who are DoD identification card holders
Special accommodations are available for military personnel who are required to deploy or go on temporary duty during the course of their studies. We work with you to ensure that you can meet your goals and serve your country.
