'RAISING THE BAR: BUILDING CHAMPIONS ONE REP AT A TIME.' Upper Iowa University has launched a $250,000 fund-raising initiative to raise the bar for its strength and conditioning programs for student-athletes. Completion of the campaign will provide funds to expand and improve current training facilities in the UIU Dorman Gymnasium building and to convert and equip the former wrestling room into additional training space. ALUMNI FEATURED IN NEW UIU BLOG. Peacock Tales, a new blog designed to tell the story of you – Peacock Nation and beyond – was kicked off in November 2012 featuring Upper Iowa's oldest living alumna, Emma (Burkhart) Hough, who graduated in 1926. In December, Upper Iowa threw a 108th birthday party for Emma. Check it out here. In addition to Hough, Peacock Tales has also featured alums:

UIU-MESA GETS PERMANENT LOCATION IN CITY'S FIESTA DISTRICT. Upper Iowa University has found a permanent home for its Mesa education center in a vacant retail building in the Fiesta District. UIU will move into the former Borders location at 1361 S. Alma School Road in spring 2013. Read more.
UIU-PRAIRIE du CHIEN EMBARKS ON 25TH YEAR. Upper Iowa University's education center in Prairie du Chien will celebrate its 25th year in 2013 of providing quality, affordable education in southwest Wisconsin and northeast Iowa. Its proximity to the residential Fayette, Iowa, campus has enhanced learning opportunities for UIU-Prairie du Chien Center students, with many full-time Fayette campus faculty members also teaching at the Center. The UIU center collaborates with the Prairie du Chien School District to hold classes on site. Read more.
