
Graduate Students
At Upper Iowa, we offer four master’s degrees: master of education (MEd), master of business administration (MBA), master in public administration (MPA) and master in higher education administration (MHEA). Which degree you are seeking will determine to which UIU modality you apply.
The MEd and the MHEA are both part of the Andres School of Education. The MEd is completed on the UIU campus in Fayette, Iowa; and the MHEA is offered online.
The MBA is also offered online or at the Madison, WI educational center.
The MPA is offered only online.
To be admitted to one of Upper Iowa’s graduate degree programs, students must have completed a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university or include an English translation and evaluation from a non-U.S. institution.
Graduate students must have earned at least a 2.75 GPA in their undergraduate coursework or a 3.0 on the most recent 60 semester credits of undergraduate work. For the master of education program, the applicant must have earned at least 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, submit three letters of recommendation and provide photocopies of current teaching certificates. licenses. Graduate students also may submit acceptable GRE or GMAT scores. International graduate students also must submit TOEFL scores. Transcripts must be submitted from all colleges/universities attended.
