Hands-On Experience
UIU has created a unique program to give IT students invaluable hands-on experience in their field. Heartlanding Information Technology Services Center was established through the UIU E-Center as an Iowa-based not-for-profit IT services and consulting organization designed to compete with off-shoring. It is managed by faculty and experienced students and staffed by IT students. Heartlanding ITSC helps area businesses promote and grow their business through technology. Heartlanding ITSC, working closely with UIU faculty and staff, provide development of websites and social media, cyber-security consulting, new platforms for mainframes, and legacy system migration services.
