What is EDU 533?
Launching Math Daily 3® is a 3 credit, online graduate level course. It is the only Math Daily 3 course approved by The 2 Sisters, Gail Boushey and Joan Moser. This course is an online course that will last eight weeks. It is aimed at providing students with a foundational understanding of Math Daily 3. Emphasis will be placed on Math Daily 3 research-based instructional practices along with materials, methods, and skills used to teach students math in grades K-6. Components examined include: classroom design, brain research, motivation in teaching and learning, developing student independence, organizing student data, brief and detailed focused lessons, and differentiation in the mathematics classroom. Upon completion, practitioners will have the knowledge to successfully implement the Math Daily 3 framework in their own classrooms.
How much does it cost?
Because of a special formal agreement with The 2 Sisters, Upper Iowa University is pleased to offer the course EDU 533 Launching Math Daily 3 at a reduced tuition rate of $425. This rate does not apply to any other UIU graduate-level course.
How do I request to register for the class?
The request to register period for Term 5 will begin on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. CST. To request to register for the course, you will need to complete the form.
A link to the form will be available under the "How Do I Request to Register?" section of this page when the registration period opens. The link will only be available for a short time while the registration period is open and it will be removed when there is no longer room available in EDU 533 for Term 5. This is the only option to request to register for this class. Individuals who successfully submit the form will be contacted with additional information about completing the official registration process. Please be sure to check your spam folders to ensure you do not miss this information.

Term 4 (March 2, 2015 - April 26, 2015) CLASS IS FULL
Term 5 (May 4, 2015 - June 28, 2015)
Students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
What is Math Daily 3?
Math Daily 3 is a framework for structuring math time so students develop deep conceptual understanding and mathematical proficiency. Students select from three choices, working independently toward personalized goals, while the teacher meets individual needs through whole-group and small-group instruction, as well as one-on-one conferring. Math Daily 3 adapts to district-adopted curriculums and state mandates. Using Math Daily 3, teachers are able to meet differentiated needs, helping to ensure that all students meet standard.
