Strategic Plan / AQIP
Strategic Plan
Since 2004, there has been a newly determined effort to build on UIU's
historic strengths and to reinterpret them for the rapidly evolving
educational environment of the 21st century. Strategic initiatives
launched in 2004 were followed in 2007 by a more comprehensive and
formal strategic planning process that included a campus-led
reexamination and rearticulation of UIU's mission and vision. The final
version of the plan that emerged from a comprehensive 11-month process
was approved by the Board of Trustees in 2008.
Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP)
UIU maintains Higher Learning Commission accreditation through the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) which infuses the principles and benefits of continuous improvement into colleges and universities (www.aqip.org).
