Awarded NACMA/Division II Community Engagement Award of Excellence – one of 18 winners from across the country (2010)
The "Community Engagement Award of Excellence" was designed to recognize Division II schools for work in tying together the athletics department, student-athletes and the community where the school resides with an enriching program.
- UIU was recognized for hosting a “Military Appreciation Day” as part of a basketball game in December, 2010. This community-engagement promotion was one of 18 selected by NCAA Division II for the Award of Excellence.
