Writing Center Director – Fayette, IA

Upper Iowa University is seeking a faculty member to become the next Writing Center Director. Assistant Strength and Nutrition Coach – Fayette, IA

The Assistant Coach will work cooperatively with coaching and athletic training staff to: develop team and individualized strength programs and nutrition plans in a positive and motivating environment, provide insight regarding health and nutrition as it relates to physical development and health, counsel student-athletes on optimal nutrition for exercise training, competition, recovery from exercise, weight management, hydration, immunity, disordered eating, travel, and supplementation, assist in the oversight and maintenance of two weight rooms and equipment, and assist with monitoring and developing of the intern program, including and not limited to the planning, supervising, and evaluating of all interns.

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred in Health, Nutrition, Exercise Science or related field with a background or education in dietetics and a minimum of one year experience working in a collegiate sports nutrition and/or strength and conditioning environment. Electronic Services Librarian – Fayette, IA

The Electronic Services Librarian manages the library’s electronic information resources, improving access to electronic resources, and provides technical support, including assistance with authentication, license agreements and payments. Provides faculty, students, and others access to and assistance in using electronic resources. Helps with the evaluation and acquisition of electronic resources. Maintains and makes accessible content files of electronic resources. Collects and reports appropriate user and system statistics and provides year-end reports. Assists department accounting unit as needed in maintaining subscription status, licensing information, and payments. Arranges trials of new resources and eBooks acquisitions.

In addition, the Electronic Services Librarian provides reference services as part of the reference team, including participation in the faculty-liaison program, co-teaching, providing selective in-class bibliographic training, and virtual reference.

Finally, the Electronic Services Librarian acts as technology resource for various library applications. Coordinating with the University IT unit as needed, implements various computer applications to update webpage content and design displays on the library’s webpage, develops and produces Research Guides, and contributes to projects such as the development library Facebook and Twitter presence.

Upper Iowa University invites applications for the position of adjunct faculty in the Master of Public Administration program.  This contingent, non-tenure track faculty reports directly to the MPA Program Chair.  Duties and responsibilities include creating and delivering curriculum (online, face-to-face in Madison and Milwaukee, WI, and hybrid) consistent with the UIU MPA program’s mission, goals, and values, active involvement in program assessment, current in area of expertise, and the ability to teach research methods.    

A doctorate in public administration, political science, or public policy is preferred.  A Master’s degree in public administration, political science, or public policy or related area is required. Must demonstrate a commitment to student centered learning, democratic decision making, continuous improvement, and the ability to integrate our program’s values of diversity, democracy and due process into the courses being taught.

Upper Iowa University is seeking a full-time Coordinator of Retail Services, located in Fayette, IA. This position provides customers with excellent, quality products and fast, friendly service while developing students’ work ethic, customer service and business management skills at the Pavo Blue retail store. Most of the manager’s time is spent supervising and directing the workforce, making staffing decisions, ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, managing the store’s financial performance, and managing safety and security within the store.

Associate's degree preferred and retail management experience required. The successful candidate will possess skills with retail accounting, inventory management, marketing, and excellent interpersonal skills. Position may require evening and/or weekend hours. Some overnight travel may be required.
